Rose City 10K - April 24,2010

Just a week after the Autism run we signed up for the Rose City Run in Thomasville, Georgia. It is a 10k that starts in pretty downtown Thomasville that they do during the Rose Festival every year. My Grandma Veltman lives just streets from where the race happens, so we decided to make it a sleep over and stay in Thomasville the night before! We ate a yummy dinner the Friday night before and the kids had tons of fun playing with Grandma. Logan even had an ice cream cone that Grandma made him for dessert. It was actually his first ice cream cone ever, so he was very excited! Logan had such a good time that he could barely sleep that night and we know because we shared a room with him! :)

We got up early that Saturday and headed to the race. Grandma and the kids hung out downtown while we ran! It was a pretty fun race even though it started raining at the end. Once it started raining it didn't stop, it was a very wet morning! It was a pretty good size race with over 400 runners. James finished in 47:03 and I finished in 51:09. We can't wait to do this race again next year!

I like this photo because we are both in it towards the front
