Tails and Trails 5K - May 1, 2010

On May 1st we participated in the Trails and Trails 5k. It was a pretty large race benefiting Animal Services in Tallahassee. It was a trail run at Tom Brown Park. It was our first time to this park and it was very nice! There were 2 separate races, a 5k with 355 people and a 10K with 315 people. It was very congested at first because both races started together with all the runners, but took different turns once we got to certain point. James did great with a time of 21:53 and 10th overall. He won 2nd in his division! I did well also with a time of 24:26 and 25th overall. I won 1st in my division! Unfortunately for me, this race was the start of some knee problems while running. Problems, that I am still working through, but slowly getting better! Below is also a picture of the really cool handmade mugs we won for placing in our divisions!
